Problem - Cannot copy & paste, and cannot open the web link in a new IE window

Hi all,

I have a computer with a dual-boot OS of WIN98/WIN2K Server. In the WIN2K Server, everything when I firstly logged into the system, after half an hour to an hour, I cannot copy and paste the files/folders, and neither right click the web link and open in a new IE explorer window.

When I restarted (not logged off) the computer, it worked fine again for 0.5 - 1 hr.

Anyone have a clue of what problem is this? Any suggestion is very appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Kelvin

Hi kk52002 - Go here and download and run a scan with Hijack This. Dont make any changes, just click on Save Log, copy it and post it back in this thread.

Kelvin...
I encountered a similiar problem recently with someone who was using 3Web for internet access. I never ascertained if this was a factor. However at the same time I discovered their power supply fan was no longer working which would eventually cause incorrect voltages to the motherboard, affecting cpu and other component functionality. I would first check your fans (cpu and power supply) to eliminate that as a factor. The time issue could indicate an overheating issue.
