French translator site or software needed

hi does anyone please know a good web site to translate french to english and english to french, or better still a free application that will do this. i used to have a program called french assistant on a free cd but i lost it.

this is off topic per say but I was reminded of it...if you are really really bored, and want to read interesting stuff in those translation sites, type something in english, translate it to whatever, then translate it back and forth a few times and you can get some very interesting readings.
