Can't Put MS Word Documents On CD...

I'm backing up all my files because I am getting ready to reformat my harddrive but I am having trouble saving my Microsoft Word documents on a CD. I tried creating a data CD and DirectCD both - neither worked and it did for everything else. This is the error message I get: "cannot create or replace filename: access is denied. Make sure the disc is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use." How can I do this?

I would first create all the word documents then put everything on the cd at once using burning software.

Good Luck

If any of these word documents are open while you are attempting to copy them to the CD (or anywhere else) problems like this can occur. MS Word opens a file and "puts a lock" on it and then makes a temporary file for it. Ensure that all of your word docs are closed when copying them.
