My grandson pulled the plug on my computer. When I rebooted the computer prompted me for my boot up disk. From there I'm at the a: prompt. I can't get to the c: prompt. I'm running Win95. Please send back step by step instructions on how to get back to windows. I'm new to this.

This scenario doesn't sound good at all. When the Power On Self Test (POST) routines ask you for a bootdisk, it means that it can't find one to perform the last step of Startup - to start the OS boot process. You'll want to check whether the BIOS shows the hard drive on one of the first couple of startup screens and:
1. If it does, then you may have lost the boot record and would need to replace it.
2. If it doesn't, then you probably have lost the drive - sometimes this happens with an abrupt power off..

Hit DELETE to get into SETUP when the first screen comes up. In there highlight and hit enter "Auto Detect IDE Drives" [wording may be different]
If it finds your hard drive, then SAVE & EXIT and let it boot [take boot disk out]
