Hi again to some old friends...

It's been a while since I visited here, but I have a computer problem I need help with (in the internet thread) so I checked through my list of favourites and refound this forum.

It's really nice to see some familiar names - zipulrich, modmidget, mary (can't recall her username) - from the Snortworld days. Hi guys! and I'll try not to be a stranger. Anyone know where Tig is posting these days?

Tig still posts over at Rom's (romulus2.com), but lot's of Snortsters from W1che to Rockboy visit here once in awhile. So how have you been???

Hi to you Zip and modmidget and mawil! (and any other ex-SWs who post here),

I have been OK. I spend a lot of my internet time visiting forums devoted to my favourite subject - desktop publishing. There are half a dozen or so that I visit daily (and post prolifically on!) I have been working in the field on and off for the last 2 or 3 years now, and although the 'perfect' job hasn't happened, I still keep hoping. BUT there's nothing like the good old days (i.e. pre-Iraq) when you could drop in for some light entertainment at SW to put a smile on your face.

As I said in the original post, I have had a computer problem that is really driving me nuts and this is the first one that has arisen since trying to install the scanner (remember that one?) that I haven't been able to fix myself (I really must have learned something over at SW). Basically my computer sometimes denies access to websites that I normally visit daily. It will probably turn out to be a simple solution, I hope.

I will try and drop in here on a regular basis from now on.

Hiya Eggles. Good to hear from you. Been meaning to email you but seems I always get sidetracked. Read your post about your internet troubles, but I don't have a clue.

They have some "light entertainment" here, too. Just ALMOST as good as SW.
