Windows explorer crashes

When I start my computer (Aptiva 150 mhz) and I click My Computer or Windows Explorer the computer locks up .I hit Ctrl Alt Del and its says that windows explorer is not responding.I click on end task and close explorer.The arrow come across the task bar saying click her to begin
after that there are no more problems I use the computer for hours with no problems. Thanks for the help

Can you open Windows explorer after this initial crash or does it still not work for the duration of your "session"?
Do you have any disks loaded into teh floppy or CD drive at the time?
Try ejecting the CD and opening Windows Explorer.
