Finding ISP from e mail

A friend of mine has been getting insulting/threatning e mails and would like to trace the ISP so he can complain, I'm not sure how he can do this...
can you help ?

Sure.

If they're using Outlook Express, open the letter and from the top toolbar choose View and make sure there's a check next to All Headers. Then click File, then Properties. If that's not enough info, choose the Details tab from that box.
Unless it's a munged address, it'll be there.
