Question help on saving images

Normally when I right click save save picture as... the save window comes up and displays the name of the file and type (usually jpg). Now every time the file name is listed as "untitled" and it wants to save it as a bmp, even though it's a jpg. I t doesnt give me the option to save it as something else on the pull down menu. What changed on my cpu to cause this. It's not that big a deal but it just takes longer because I have to rename all the files as I save them. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have nearly the same problem..Only mine gives me two options and one is: Save as ART, the other is JPG. If I save in either type and try to open them, the computer will say, can't open because of missing a dll file. Don't know exactly why. Any help appreceiated.
