Hi Apathwhy - run Hijack This again and fix the below entries. Reboot afterwards.
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http:/www.searchv.com/w/search.html R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.searchv.com/w/search.html R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.searchv.com/w/search.html R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = http://www.searchv.com/w/search.html R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.searchv.com/ R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.searchv.com/w/search.html R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.searchv.com/w/ R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://www.searchv.com/w/search.html R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = http://www.searchv.com/w/search.html R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.searchv.com/w/search.html R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://www.searchv.com/w/ O1 - Hosts: 38.115.131.131 sk2.slsk.org O1 - Hosts: 38.115.131.131 www.slsk.org O1 - Hosts: 38.115.131.131 mail.slsk.org O1 - Hosts: 38.115.131.131 server.slsk.org O2 - BHO: WinShow module - {6CC1C918-AE8B-4373-A5B4-28BA1851E39A} - C:\Documents and Settings\Thai Huy Truong\Application Data\winshow\winshow.dll O4 - Global Startup: MSupdater.exe O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\VxD\MSCTP: Domain = mydomain.com When you have rebooted, run a search for MSupdater.exe and delete it. Next, open your browser and go to Tools > Internet Options and click on the General Tab. Click on Settings (next to Temporary Internet Files) and then click on View Objects. Rightclick on each and choose Properties. If there is anything there that you dont know what it is (microsoft, apple, macromedia etc are OK) or where it came from,delete it. If there are any damaged controls there, delete those also. Your version of Hijack This needs updating. Download the latest version from here and run a new scan. Post the log back so we can check to see if we got it all.

Your log looks fine now Apathwhy. Try resetting your Home Page and let us know how you get on. Just a comment though, Your ActiveX controls could do with a cleanup. Open your browser and go to Tools > Internet Options and click on the General Tab. Click on Settings (next to Temporary Internet Files) and then click on View Objects. Rightclick on each and choose Properties. If there is anything there that you dont know what it is (microsoft, apple, macromedia etc are OK) or where it came from, delete it.
