i host my own server here at my house.. and i know a little bit of flash, a little bitty bitty bit of javascript, and i know html. here is an old site i did for a cs clan i used to have:

i'm really bored and would like something to do. not too extream, i have absolutely no experiance in PHP or PERL or stuff like that.

So do you want to do that with PHP and CGI? Because I am pretty sure you could do it all with javascript mouseovers and tables if you wanted to.

oh that site? nah that was just an example of what i've done. i just want some ideas on somehting that i could make. like.. i wanna make a whole new site i don't know what to make it about though. ya know?

yeah, a whole new layout, a whole new theme. everything. i'm really bored and i would like something to do that is usefull i guess. just anything that comes to mind. : )

Well if you know some flash I suggest creating some simple flash games. Even if they are simple they still can be fun (ex: pong is fun)

How about an underground off campus site for your school. Make it useful, tasteful and yet aggressive.

good idea.. we need one too... (REMOVED) but i don't want to let my friends at school know that im a computer geek! lol. i have anonymously volentered to help them out but i didn't get a response from the webmaster. oh well. thanks anyways!

Just a few thoughts...

Coming up with a theme and design can be very difficult. Maybe consider doing sites for local non profit organizations like the humane society or some other local organization that do not have one.

As far as doing an underground school site, might be interesting, but too many students have been expelled from school for doing those type of sites even though they worked on the sites away from the school.

If you are into artwork, maybe do a site with your favorite graphics and such. Maybe even put some of your art on merchandise through places like zazzle or cafepress. Could make a few dollars this way and pay for the site.
