MIME Encapsulated Message

I started using Mailwasher after a near miss with the Swen Worm. Today, I've received an email, that when I tried to preview it with Mail Washer, said that it was a MIME Encapsulated Message, and didn't show me any more. What the heck is a MIME Encapsulated Message?

MIME is a system for encoding data so that when it gets to the other end it can be opened with the right application (or that's my understanding of it). So you probably have an email containing images which have been MIME encoded.
