I Think I Have A Big Problem...

Lately I've been having a weird problem with my computer. After my screen saver has been on for about 10 minutes, my computer starts making this clicking sound, which stops after I begin an activity. It never used to do this. What could it be?

open the cover and find out exactly what is clicking? Might be the hd going bad but until we know "fer sur" it is just a guess.

It did it off and on before I switched over to XP, but it's been doing it a lot now. But why just when my screen saver is on? I've checked my disk health at PC Pitstop and it checks out good. The only think I've done differently is I have installed new programs and I stopped the defragmenter before it was finished. Should I run that again?
