At completion of bootup, I receive the following message:

Display

There is a problem with your display settings. The adapter type is incorrect, or the current settings do not work with your hardware.

When I click “OK” on the above message, the “Display Properties” window appears.

In the “Settings” tab, the following information appears:

Drag the monitor icons to match the physical arrangement of your monitors:

Two monitor icons appear, number 1 and 2.

In the display box: 1. Dell P990 on Radeon 7500 series.

Screen area: Indicator is found completely at “LESS”
(640 by 480 pixels)

When I click to exit the above window, I receive the following message in the Display Properties window:

At this time, display properties settings are limited to trouble changes only. The next time you restart your system the display will be set 640x480x16 color mode, custom refresh rates will be removed, and any secondary display will be disabled. After you have restarted successfully, you will be able to change your driver or make other settings changes. Choosing not to continue will retain your original display settings.

Are you sure you want to continue?

YES NO

This problem has increased the size of the icons on the desktop and the font size of all internet windows.

This computer is networked with one other computer with an Ethernet Broadband router (D-Link).

I have a master and slave hard drive on each of the above two computers, and recently had a third drive installed in one of the bays on the front of each computer.

I am relatively new to computers. It would be most helpful to me if you provide any help you might provide me in a step-by-step manner.

Thank you

Somehow you are set up for "Dual Monitors".

Did you drag monitor #2 on top of Monitor #1 to set to one monitor?
