renaming cd drives

hi all, this is probably really easy, but for the life of me i couldnt figure it out. How can I give labels to my cd drives? for example, instead of just having E:, could i have 'cd-rewriter'? i'm asking this because i have a cd-rom and a cd-rewriter, name E: and F: respectively. It would be easier to see what the drives actually are.
cheers
- G
ps
i noticed with the floppy drive that you could just renameit by clicking on the title.

hi,
thanks for replying. i'm running windows 2000 at work (where i am now), and have just right-clicked on the cd drive, and, behold, there is a rename option. But on my windows 98 at home, there is no rename option. is there another way on win 98?

Actually it can be done, but it requires a .vbs script. I can't remember where I found it, but if you search the net a little you should be able to track one down. I'll see if I can locate the site and if I can I will post it. Just be very careful with .vbs files as they can be fatal to your system if it is not what it claims to be.
