Using Search Engines

This Air Head, me, is too stupid and impatient to figure out how to search with a search engine.

Using Google to search for .TBM and other file extensions I receive hits on TBM, not .TBM

Further, some entries on the hit list displayed do not include, anywhere, TBM (upper or lower case).

I often want to search on character strings, not words or phrases.

How do I do this and why I am so stupid?

firstly try to centryfy (is that a word, it is now!) you search.

Search for "file extentions" then you will find sites where you can search their database.

Secondly, there are certain search techniques.
The google site can say it better than me...

Having never heard of a TBM file, I asked Google "what is a TBM file, and got this result...

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...=Google+Search

Maybe that's what you saw too, so before going further, what is a TBM file, where are you getting them from?

the usual sites have no record of TBM

Is that the correct extension?

Also try opening the file in Notepad/Wordpad and see if you can find any info.
