What is the best browser?

I'm using Firebird and like it a lot but it does have some querks.
Is Mozilla 7 worth the extra size and what does it offer that might be better.?
Are there any other contenders?

Thanks

Sea

Well personnally I would stick with Mozilla or Firebird, I have tried Opera and found it less compatible with some of the media heavy pages. But you still need to keep IE on your system, some pages only work on IE.

Mostly I use msie, but depending upon my mood, I may use opera, netscape, or mozilla.

I've taken to using Safari on the Mac recently, no frills so it's nice and fast

I like SLIMBROWSER it seems to have everything you need once you configure it to your own liking.

I'm using FireBird aswell. Agreed, it has some oddities. I like it because it's not I.e.
Again, you have to get used to it. I don't use Mozilla because it has everything integrated, and there's lot's of stuff I don't need.

On both Linux and Windows I use Mozilla for day-to-day browsing. Although, I keep copies of IE, Netscape, and Opera around to ensure that webpages that I design look alright in them.

I especially like Mozilla's built in pop-up blocking feature when browsing the web while at work. Nothing like having a porn-like popup happening while browsing the workplace.

Mozilla - I've been using it since 1.3 came out. Firebird is nice, and the new Opera is quite fast as well, but I like the integration in the Mozilla (now 1.5) suite. For those who don't want all the extra, you can choose custom install and leave out quite a bit of it...after a little tweaking, Mozilla and firebird really fly!!!

In my installations of Mozilla I always 'uncheck' the Chatzilla chatting add-on. I do very little chatting and there are other programs better suited for such a thing. So if you're not an IRC chatter, when doing a custom install, don't let it install Chatzilla.
