Here's the deal: we were infected with the trojan virus. We were able to quarantine it with our symantic software. The trouble came when we decided to delete the infected files. Unfortunately, those files were necessary to the system and now we can't access anything in the control panel or do a disk cleanup. We want to obtain a startup disk. I already read about how to make a startup disk myself, but won't the startup disk be missing the same important files that we deleted? If yes, then how can we obtain a startup disk? We are not under warranty because this is a second hand computer. ANY advice would be MUCH APPRECIATED! |

As already suggested, go to the link provided and get a bootdisk for W95, it should allow you to get back up and running. Are you running 95A or B? |

Site is reliable and yes you need a formatted disk. At this point I think I would go with version B. |

You shouldn't need a blank disk as the program will overwrite the current contents.
Download the .exe file and run it. It will then ask you to insert a floppy and it will create a boot disk for you.
