Does anyone know if you need an account to download instant message from AOL. I have compuserve and have it but a friend wants it.
I know way back anyone could get it without an account.

Hi Perplexed....I downloaded it the other day and I don't have an account with AOL...think it must still be available to anyone if they let me have it :D :D

hello again my friend tried to download it and it asks for an aol address what does she do??? She has MSN messenger now and I see her on but she cannot see me.
