Temp. internet files
I'm on cable modem-fast surfing-which cause me to build up temp. internet files quickly. How do I limit the number of files that accumulate? I clean them out every 2-3 days, they usually number in the thousands!!
PS: Just signed up at your site today, seeing a lot of familiar names.Great place to lurk & learn.

Go to start / settings / control panel / internet options / advanced / scroll down to the bottom and check the box Empty Temporary Internet File folder when Browser is closed.
This is what I did. I edited my autoexec.bat file and put these two lines in it. C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\deltree /y C:\Windows\tempor~1\*.* C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\deltree /y C:\windows\temp\*.* Now every time I boot my machine, everything in these two folders is deleted. Consult this article for a more indepth explanation. ![]() [ 09 November 2001: Message edited by: Theoran ] |
