I am working on a NT 4 system with service pack 6A.
when you put a floppy in the a drive it wont read it. it give you one of 2 error messages. 1. a:\ is not accessible the volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure theat all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupt. 2. a:\ is not accessible. the parameter is not correct. I have put a new floppy drive in the system and it still does the same thing. The BIOS does see the floppy and if you put a boot disk in the floppy drive it will boot from it. I have replaced the floppy.sys file with another one to no avail. I have serched for and answer on Microsoft and i cant find anything there. Thanks in advance. |

A few questions:
1. Does the floppy drive make noise when you try to access the disk? 2. Have you tried several different disks? 3. Have you tried a different power cable? |
