problems starting win2k pro

ive installed 2k pro on a friends comp but its not getting past the splash screen, all it does is keep restarting, i can boot into it with safe mode but thats all, its a amd k6-2 550 i think, 256m ram, soyo sy-5ssm motherboard, anyone have any suggestions

Check for driver conflicts in the device manager. I have had that issue and it was a driver.

i cant seem to find any conflicts, well actualy i cant seem to look at all the drivers cause it reboots automaticaly when i do things, i cant even get into safe mode some times. when i do get in should i just disable all the drivers that arent nessacary to run like audio ect... pls give your input time is a factor in this, and thank you for your replys it helps very much
