Need help installing winsock patch, thanks

I am trying to help a friend with her callwave. It just stopped working heres whats on her machine 4.00.950B - IE 5.5.00 2314.1003 windows 95

Heres what she needs If you are using Windows 95 version 4.00.950 or 4.00.95A you
need to install the "Winsock" patch program to use the
Internet Answering Machine.
Does the B make a difference?

Can someone walk me through installing the winsock patch? I mean step by step by step. HA! HA! big chicken here especially working on someone else computer.

Now callwave says she does not have enough RAM, she has 14 and it says you need 34 I think. It makes no sense why it would just quit after months.

I figure callwave did an update and now her computer can't support it am I right?
