I will be FDISK and formatting a new hard drive shortly. It's a 40 GB WD. I would like to make it all 1 partition "C". Is there any problem with doing that? I have Partition Magic 6.0 so if I what, I can set partitions later as needed.

There is no problem with that. But, it will take alot longer to run Scandisk and Defrag on a 40gig system. It is easier and much faster if Partition it first.... But that is just a judgement call on your part. If the time doesn't matter that much, then I say dont partition it....
Goodluck with the New HD. I hope the installation goes well....

Thanks for the speedy reply Dodge, I'm putting together a barebones system for my wife-her old Compaq is on it's last legs-that's why I want to make all drive "C". She stores pictures from her dig. camera, I've got to make it as easy as possible for her.
