Hi there Mishy, I'm not trying to rush you here, I know you've been doing an awful lot of work these past few days, so please take your time here, I'm just forwarding my responce to your post at the old board, using the old copy/paste thing!!

Sorry for taking so long to reply, and I hope you are both still here!!!
I believe ICONCLNT, and UPS are from the UPS Back up machine, the machine that will keep the computer running for a while, if we lose power.
AtiGart, mdac-runonce, adaptec direct CD, RunStartMonitor, AtiPTA, Atc2cwxx, Atigart (don't know either, why two of 'em), Create CD, Pointer, ATIPOLAB, Media Manager Indexer, all I am not too sure what they are!!!!!
The Gigabyte utility manager has something to do with the AMD processor we use here, it's an Athlon 700.
I shall "uncheck" all the ones you mentioned Mishy. and would welcome anymore help if possible!!
Dave.

Hi there Playdoh, glad you could join us.
Lafave, the computer is at home, don't think my bosses would let me near their PC"s!!!
Steve, I'd appreciate all the help I can get.
Dave.

I dont know if this is any help or not, but here is what my startup list contains:
Voodoo Banshee = run32.dll
csinject = norton smartsweep
power reg profile
run = hpschld
symtry = norton system tray
Thats all I have loading at startup-my system resources are @ 97%.

Thanks Lynch.
I now have Start Up Cop downloaded, and although my Start Up is still loaded with stuff, I have "disabled" most of it now, using the above program.
