Wow ive just got Windows Me...
Is it best to uninstall win98 first or if i got straight over the top.. will i have any problems. will i loose anything?
and whats the options dir for?

Since your deciding to overwrite a more stable OS with a less stable one (at least in my opinion) I would go for the gold and install over the win98 installation. You shouldn't loose any of your documents, settings, etc. However I will warn you, WinME has never been any good to me, and just caused more headaches then 98SE.

Win ME is definately more stable than 98SE, yet it causes many errors.
