I have a pop up window that is currently loading upon entry to my home page. Is there a way to get the pop up window to load when a visitor leaves the site? As opposed to just leaving a particular page? I don't know where a visitor is going to leave the site, I don't want the pop up window loading when a visitor clicks from one page to another, but would like it to pop up from anywhere in the site that the visitor decides to leave the site altogether. Any ideas? :)

I've seen this done at numerous places, but not exactly how you describe it...I've seen people use pop-unders. It is a pop-up that loads behind the page you are looking at so when they close the page they are looking at the popup is there.
I found a free script for doing this:
http://javascriptkit.com/script/script2/popunder.shtml
Also if you want to see an example, my site host does this:
http://freeware.ionichost.com
Unfortunatly some of the drawbacks are that they sometimes pop-up when you navigate to a new window...or in atleast the examples I have seen...you might be able to change this.
Good Luck
Edit: See if that code works for you...the online example of it doesn't work for me and is displayed as a normal pop-up.

check out the following script. Just replace their address with yours... and before you ask about the site's content :) since it is not a script site, I found it searching google using "exit popup" as key words.
