sound problems

ill try again but properly this time

i have a ES1868 sound card
and i am using Windows '95/'98 drivers for it

when i play a wav file in sound recorder the sound keep looping
the same thing happens with half lifes menu
and icq and a lot of other programs

also i cant play any audio files in sonique or winamp

also i dont hear any sound at all using the drivers for win 98 se

same with the drivers from my win 98 cdrom

i have an essolo card as well go up to options ,its shown on the picture above top left as see whats ticked/not ticked there
and have you ever had sound

yes i have had sound

i have sound now - but its limited to Unreal, windows media player 7, UT, Quake 3 Arena

Microphone is the only thing thats not ticked

garf go back to the options then properties
is essolo selected for mixer device plus have you tried with all the boxs ticked but leaving microphone not ticked.

He means in your sound config window (that one you've put a screenshot above on a post)
go to Options then Properties and make sure that your Essolo card is selected for the mixer device (it's right at the top).
