I have just set up my brother's system after his grandson crashed it. We get a message at start up that some VXD files are unable to load, but does not say which ones. Used BLA and found that two files failed to load; ndis2sup.vxd & mrci.vxd.
Also get a "incompletefailed" message for
sdvxd & fifth.
Any advice or comments to ID these files would be greatly appreciated
Thank you.

Can't say that I know what all those files are but it it is normal for some to *fail*
<A HREF="http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q127/9/70.asp" TARGET=_blank><u>Load Failures</u> Listed in the Bootlog.txt File</A>
I would go into Device Manager and check for any devices with problems, you know the ones with the yellow question mark on them. Also i have found that many times reinstalling the video card and drivers will fix many of Windows vxd (virtual drivers) problems.
Hope this helps,
Dale

Thank you for the quick response.
The link explained a lot of things and reloading the video drivers seems to have cured most of the problems.
Once again, thank you.
