Need some help with my Windows 98 FE....Please HELP ASAP!!!

Yes, I think there is a virus on my computer cause when it loads it loads and then I get an error message that says 'error loading MSCONFD, system can't find file specified'.......I am doing a scan and I was wondering how do I remove that so called file from the loading startup list? Please help me!!! Any help will be greatly appericated!!!!

Kazaa has been known to cause that problem. If you have Kazaa installed, it is best to remove it with Kazaa Begone at

Hi billgatesOwesMe,
It sounds like the viral file has been either delete or quarantined by your antivirus, but the registry run entry is still present.
Download 'Hijack This!'. Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".
When the scan is finished, click "Save Log", and copy and paste it in a reply.
