Im am an old guy that is self taught in computers. I was enthralled

by the Scrolling Marquee and so learnt a bit if HTML online to create

same.I am now hit by another quest --i.e I want to create a Link

in my Email so that the viewer of a mail sent by me will see after

the text of the mail ....."Click Here" ...which will link to a web page at

some other place. Tried quite a few variations without success. Please

help .

One other thing : Why is it that a Scrolling Marquee created Off line

stops scrolling when the prescribed time set for the Screen Saver is met?

My feeling was that once something was moving across the screen it

acted as a Screen Saver. Please comment. Thanks.

I am a little confused, maybe because I just got up and not had a dr pepper yet...

What email client are you using? Also be aware those who have html turned off will not see the link.

As far as the scrolling marquee, are you talking about the screen saver itself, on a webpage, or on your desktop?

Sorry about that Renegade..as I read over the post I got a bit confused

myself. Let me take a sip of vodka and clear my head.....

Now, my experiment went thus : I tried to send a text from one Email

account to another [all mine ] .All I wanted to see in the receiving Email

was "Click Here" . It was my hope that clicking on "Click Here" would

open the hidden text; 'twas not to be.

My Email cliet is Outlook Express ..O/s -Win 95 ; Browser -IE 5

Concerning the Scrolling Marquee... I created it offline on a web page and

saved it.

In an experiment I opened the Scrolling Marquee and was surprised to

see that the Screen Saver which is set to kick in after 2 minutes knocked

out the scolling marquee. My feeling was that once something was moving

across the desktop the screen saver will not come up.

The screen saver goes into effect whenever your input device is not used over a period of time.

As far as click here in an email, without looking at how you coded it, it is impossible to tell you what went wrong. A couple of things to consider,

1. are you able to view html at the account you sent the email to?
2. did you give the fill link of the page in the email and used the correct tags?
3. well, there was a third one but my mind just went blank... :(
