Font Installation Problems In ME

For some reason when I drag TT Fonts into the Windows "Font" folder, they don't show up in any of my programs. Similarly, I can't find an "Add Fonts" option in any of the pull-down menus, though the Help Topics say there should be one in the "File" pull-down in the Control Panels "Font" folder. Any ideas?

Yes there should be an Install Font option in the controlpanel/fonts section.

Could you not find this ????

Click Start then Settings then Control Panel.

Then double click the Fonts icon and the fonts panel will popup.

Then click File/Install new font from there.

No...no such animal. I can't figure out why the "click-and-drag" method doesn't work either.

I needed the Fonts installed right away so I ended up calling Micron Tech-Support. The tech had me go to a DOS Prompt and in the Windows directory, type "attrib fonts +s". For some reason in DOS the computer wasn't even acknowledging that I had a FONTS folder. Weird...It worked though.
