I have lost my window that comes up when I close IE5 and ask me if I want to disconnect. How can I get this back.

TIA

To re-enable it go to tools/internet options then click the connections tab and settings then properties and then the dailing tab.

The settings for auto disconnect are at the bottom.

A better way is to just right click the connection icon in your task bar and select disconnect.

The setting you need are located under MSIE Tools>>Internet Options>>Connections>>Settings>>Advanced place a check in the bottom box to disconnect when connection may no longer be needed.

I'm useing IE5.5 so maybe they changed them but your directions lead me to Proxy settings Tram. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/confused.gif

Your way does look a lot less complicated though. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/wink.gif

To re-enable it go to Tools>>Internet Options >>Connections>>Settings>>Properties>>Dailing.
Then click the box at the bottom left.

There that looks better. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/wink.gif

Edit - Except for the spelling.

I don't have proxey setting so that was grayed out. You are right I should have said the Advanced Button bottom right next to Dial Up Settings.

Cheers

Edit: You know Sharpy I use 5.5 with DUN and I do not have *Dialing*, after I click Properties.
