I don't know what I'm doing!!!

Okay here's my problem... I have Windows xp but I can't play the game RIVEN in it. Nothing seems to work right... so I thought I would add a second hard drive and install windows 98 on it so that I can play RIVEN. I added the hard drive in the slave position and Windows XP recognize it.. but when to setup 98 it says I can't because I have XP and that I have to reboot in DOS mode... well I don't know how to do that.... When I use the 98 disk as a boot disk the second hard drive doesn't show up..... I know I'm doing something wrong... I just don't know what.... I REALLY REALLY want to play RIVEN.... can someone please help me.....

I've run Riven on XP without any problems so whatever is going on is not solely an XP issue.

First, you should probably get the Riven patch through the link at http://www.quandaryland.com/Help/Steves_XP_Games_Corner.htm#riven (link is about 2/3 of the way down the page) and apply it. See if that solves the problems you're having.
