Dial-up Connection Box

Hello;
You know when you connect to the internet, using the Win98 Dial-up Connection Box? And it has...

Connect to: (ISP)
User Name:
Passsword:

And right underneath it, it has a...

Save Password box:
and Connect Automatically box

Well, what happens when you select the Connect Automatically box? And, How do you diable it, if you decide not to use it? Thanks in advance...

When you check "Connect Automatically," you will no longer have to click on the Connect button once that window is open.

As to how to disable it...it's been a long time since I've used dialup but I vaguely recall the dialup window still pops up while it's connecting so you can uncheck the box then.

Go to control panel/dial-up networking and double click your connection. This will bring up the dialogue so that you can unselect "connect automatically".

Hi again;
You guys have been so helpful, I wondered if I could ask another question about Netscape 7.02 Plug-in. I'm trying to get my Netscape 7.02 to play .AVI Movies the same way it does .MPG Movies. For example when viewing a .mpg concert file on-line, I click on a .MPG file, it opens another window using quicktime plugin and immediatly begins downloading and playing the Movie. But, I can't seem to get it to do the same with .AVI. It keeps asking me if I want to open it or save it to disk. I've tried playing arround with the seetings in quicktime when playing the .AVI concert movies, but with No success. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...
