Desktop Icons

I seem to have lost the ability of right mouse clicking over desktop icons, and being able to choose a new image for the icon!! :(

Is there any way of getting this back? :)

Hi lufbra, cannot think of many reasons this should happen, on right clicking icon does dialogue box appear, if so enure in general tab the file is archived and not checked of as read only. If this is of no use could you post back operatig sys

Ummmmm, where would I find the general tab? It's not anywhere in the right mouse button click, over the icon!!! :(

When you do the right mouse button click, select Properties from the context menu, and you should then hopefully have a General tab in the Properties window.

I've been using Change Folder Icons (http://www.sharewaresoft.com/Change-Folder-Icon-download-671.htm), allows you to change icons that don't display the 'change icon' option under the General or Shortcut tab.

Oh okay, in the Generals tab, nothing is checked as being used, the "Read Only" and "Hidden" are both unchecked!! :(

Thanks Zip, but I had some icons that I had created, and these were being used through the method I'm trying to get back, I don't see much point in paying for something that can be done for free, especially with the cost of beer these days!!! ;)
