Recover 2000 error

I used the program recover 2000 to recover some Microsoft Word documents. They turned out with the right names and the right extention (.doc). Most of them were fine, but a few, when I tried to open them, didn't turn out right. Most of the text was there, but for some reason some of the symbols like enters were just boxes. On both sides of the main text was a huge mass of random symbols like column breaks and boxes. Is there any way to make them unscramble?

Since you really don't know what is causing the problem and we do not know, lets play it safe, so, how about doing a screen print of your doc. Downloading unknown documents, especially those with strange characters, may be hazardous to computers health. Clicking on the link causes the document to be download.
