nis cant connect

norton internet security says it cannot connect to server, cuz my dialup options are not correct? everythign else works fine.... how can I fix this? it cannot update....

You listed two different versions of Windows in your specifications, which one are you using when this occurs?

It sounds like your profile is getting corrupted, go into Control Panel and then into USERS and create a new profile, log out of the one you are in and then into the new profile and see is NIS and Messenger work in it.
