For some reason I can't get PDF files. I had the Adobe reader6.0 and it kept locking up. It would load the first page and then lock up. It also locked up the IE window it was in. I uninstalled it and reloaded an older version of Acrobat reader 5.xx. It doesn't want to work for me either. Do you have any suggestions? Something I could look for? Are there any known issues with it and XP Home? It's kind of bumming me out, there are quite a lot of files out there that use that format. Thanks, Lou.

Did you try other smaller pdf files? Sometimes large pdf files will lock up the computer or adobe acrobat. Also, sometimes it takes a really long time to load and it seems to lock up your reader.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. One of the files I tried was 8 pages with some pictures. It was from Jasc about PSP. I just tried it again, but it didn't say how big the file was. I tried again with 5 and it worked. I just waited for quite a while before I tried to scroll through the pages. Have you heard anything about any problems with AR6? Thanks, Lou

6 is slower. I usually don't read the pdfs while on the web. I generally download the pdf to my desktop and then open it after it is totally downloaded so I don't get aggrevated trying to read it while it is downloading.

I'm not sure how you do that. When I click the link it automatically brings up the Adobe Reader in my browser. That sounds like a good idea. Could you expain what I would need to do? Thanks, Lou.
