I looked at a post on this forum from a while back, and it says that using pcrestor.bat is a method to reinstall Windows.
I look in the ReadMe file located in the pcrestor folder and it says that I need a Full backup created by Microsoft Backup and a backup device. Well, I don't have neither a full backup created by microsoft backup nor a backup device (all I have is a CD-RW drive which I don't think constitutes as a backup device). Can I still use this method of restoring somehow? I really don't want to reinstall all of my applications if I format my drive (I am extremely lazy). Or is a reformat + install the best method for reinstalling Windows.
I am reinstalling because IE 6 messed up my system.
