divx video editing problem

hi i'm kinda new to video editing so i'm trying to figure things out right now.

I downloaded a simpsons episodes and i'm trying to cut out clips from it. I use adobe premiere 6.5

the episode is in divx format. I was able to trim out a clip successfully. But when i export it to my harddrive as a mpg file, it plays without sound.

any ideas?
