Hi there.
Although I have set up several websites and helped others to do so, certain things remain a mystery to me!
For example, today one of my sites is showing the homepage as it was a few months ago!! How can this be??
I have gone back into my site edit and everything is correct as I last edited it, yet when the page is displayed, it displays as it was months ago.
I tried 'Refresh' while pressing 'Ctrl', but no difference is made. All my other sites are displaying correctly.
May I presume that everybody is seeing that page as it wax a few months ago? Or is it only me?

Also what can I do??

Campo.

it could be the site is messed up. However, go to tools, internet options, general tab, click on settings, select every visit to page.

It's possible that you have uploaded more than one index file with different extensions (index.html, index.htm, default.html, etc.).

The file you see will be determined by the sequence set at your host. Can you look at all the files? There should only be one index file.

How do you access the site? Do you have a shortcut or favorite? Check the properties to make sure the file url is correct.

First of all to Dan:
I tried that - it makes no difference.

Secondly, there is only one index file.
I usually approach the site from my favourites column, but since I have a link to this site from some of my other sites, I often click on from them. Once today when I approached in this second way, the current homepage DID come up.
I feel that the problem must lie with the servers which Brinkster use since this is not the first time it has happened there but never happens anywhere else!

Is it only happening on your PC?
Try emptying the Temp Internet Files.

It could also be a problem with your ISP if they are caching the pages.

try a different browser and check out the page to see if the page is correct. You can download opera (http://www.opera.com) or mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org/) from their respect websites.

If you can say the URL Campo I'm sure somebody will take a screengrab of what they see for you.
