CD Problem with WIN 98
I have a similar problem as Karnie did (Jan 15 post) I replaced the hard drive on my computer and successfully loaded windows 98. Windows seems to work fine but I can't get my CD rom to work. It works in DOS in the computer and when I move the rom to another computer it works fine. I've tried to reload the driver using the windows prompts but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?
Thanks. Howard @ Nelsonhow@netscape.net

Go to Device Manager and see if there are yellow exclamation points on your Primary and Secondary IDE controllers. If so, you have the NOIDE bug.
Click Start, then Run... , and type regedit Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\VxD\IOS You should see a value named "NoIDE". Delete it, close regedit and reboot!
