rapid install?

How can I do a rapid install of win-me, to maybe replace some lost or corrupted files. I would like to try this so I will not lose any thing on my hard drive. Every time I try a rapid install I will get the message that I already have this os. anybody have any ideas.

are you having problems with winme? Tell us what they are and maybe there is another solution.

However if you want to continue, sometimes you can fool your os. What I did one time when I had some corrupt files is to uninstall a few things from Windows OS, then reinstalled them. When I reinstalled the window items, it fixed the other problem.

I have a bunch of files missing and cant start win-me. One file was vmm32.vxd which I extracted and loaded into c:\windows. The computer will now act as though it will load and then will restart and end up at the options for safe start mode and I will enter this. It will just restart and do the same thing. It does not matter which option I chose it restarts and ends back at the safe start mode. It will not let me run scanreg /restore or other diagnostic tools so I thought I would try to reload and maybe this would fix the problem with this P.O.S. os.
