I keep getting an error message that says socket error: (10048), on API bind.
It pops up about every three seconds regardless of what I'm doing and won't stop. As I am typing this my screen is being covered by messages. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ianpouliot, welcome to Cyber Tech Help.

You may have a Trojan on your system.
Some reports say TDS-3: Trojan Defence Suite 3.2.0 (http://www.tucows.com/system/preview/195501.html)
can get rid of this Trojan.

I read a couple of reports naming shellapi.exe as the Trojan being
started in msconfig. Check your start up for a checkmark beside this
file name (or any other *.exe with a checkmark beside it.

Start(button)
Run...
type msconfig
hit enter
Startup(tab)

I think that that is the file giving me trouble, I got a message saying that it performed an illegal operation and had to be shutdown, but I unchecked it's box in the startup menu and it still comes back when I restart my computer. I downloaded the trojan protection program but that didn't get rid of it. Can I just delete the file or is there any other way of getting rid of it?

Ok, I figured it out, I was able to delete the file through the Trojan detection system. Thanks for your help.
