My font folder somehow got corrupted. some fonts will only display with a funny looking squarish O(like on the top of opened programs, the program name will be in this OOOOOOO OOOOO except its square) and I can't print coupons from the internet, because the entire text is in that funky font! PLEASE HELP! I have treid repairing it in TweakUI...no go! I have tried even reinstalling Windows! it still does the same thing! I am at my wits end with this problem!

Hi Tin0215,
Give this a try and see if it works (use System Restore to Create a Restore point first......it shouldn't cause any problems necessitating you to invoke System Restore, but just in case....).

You'll have to boot into Safe Mode or use a startup floppy disk in order to boot into DOS, as the following cannot be done while Windows is in "Normal" mode. If you boot into Safe Mode, you'll need to use a PS2 mouse (a USB mouse won't work in Safe Mode). First, open Windows Explorer or My Computer (whichever you prefer for navigation) and go to Tools>Folder Options>View tab and select "Show hidden files and folders" (if you're going to be booting from startup floppy disk in order to boot into DOS, select "Show hidden files and folders" while in Windows, before booting into DOS). Now, navigate to Windows folder, find and delete the ttfCache file.

Now, restart normally, and the ttfCache file should be automatically rebuilt. Hopefully that will solve the fonts problem.
