Problem With the Windows Update Site?

Every time I go to the Windows Update site located at http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp it checks for new update software & then it tells me that new update software has been found & to click on the link to download it. When I click the link it takes me right back to the same page! I can do this numerous times and it just keeps bringing me right back to the same page! How do I correct this loop I seem to be caught in so I can download the new update software. I have used this site for a long time now and I cannot find any advice that works from the Microsoft Support groups. Any help would be much appreciated!
