Subject: Where did my left speaker go.
I had no problem with sound until I installed Winamp 2.91 and when I played my CD there was no sound coming from the left speaker. I checked my QCD Media Player, which played fine before this and it too was only playing sound from the right speaker as well as my other two media players which played fine before this. The only media player I have which plays from both speakers now is Windows Media Player. I uninstalled Winamp and yet the problem persists.
What could be disabling the left speaker in my other players and yet allowing it in Windows media player? Also, the odd thing is that, when I use the other media players, which now only play through the right speaker, I have use of the features on the CD unit such as the headphone jack and the advance button (to advance to the next track) but when I use Windows media Player I do not have use of these features. Confusing.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Angie
