Hello everyone.
I am having a problem with my Java.. vm, re.. i dont know!!! There is a page on SUNs website, with the dancing duke. It does not work... And a few other pages such as http://www.flotsam-and-jetsam.com. Anything java based does not work.... Here is what I have tried:

(IE 6.0) Internet Options, Advanced Tab- Use Java SUN is checked. Java VM is not checked.

Control Panel, Java Plug In, IE is checked and Use Java Environment ***_03 is checked, not Use default.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled numorous times... (in another forum, some one advised me to make sure all windows were closed while installing, also done.)

Each time I try something else, I clear my cache before testing my web sites, to see if they work yet.

I have tryed different JREs... ***_03, ***_02 etc.

I messed up once and got an SDK. That also did not work.

I upgraded Internet Explorer from 5.0 to 6.0

What else can I do??????????
Please help!!!!

Thank you for the reply.
Java permissions is set to "low safety" (I changed that awhile back to see if that changed anything)

Scripting of Java Applets is set to "enable".

These are the only Java options I see in the security settings.

Thanks.

Just thought of something....... Could I have uninstalled something from Windows that makes all this work????? Im so lost with this stuff, I wish I would not of messed with it!!!!!!!!

Try uninstalling Sun Java and installing MS Virtual Machine. Download build 3805 from here (http://java-virtual-machine.net/download.html) and then update it to build 3810 from here (http://classroom.okstate.edu/ie6.htm) and enable it in your browser (Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > JIT compiler for Microsoft VM enabled).
