exe

I am doing some clean out of old files on drive. I have a file that says exe with nothing attached to it which is 72 k? I tried opening it and it wont open. Any ideas? I dont want to delete it if I need it???

No filename? Is your system configured to show file extensions?

it is in programs. Yes sysytem is congigured to show file extensions

Ann Marie- Thanks for the response and question. The system is set up to show file extensions and other .exe programs are running. I found this exe in programs. I also did a virus/hijacker scan thru merijn.com, shows there too.

Can you right-click it and get any info from "Properties"

Post back the HijackThis log to get a better picture.

I would love to but I am not at the system that is showing the error. It is a friends puter that I am working on, I will have his system tomorrow to work on, I will look check scan, copy and post it then. Thanks
