Pentium 2

I tried to install a second drive earlier this week, and that did not go to well, I asked in a different thread for help and I got excelent help, altho now I have a different issue, first the compute did not reconize that there was a second hard drive, well not it does not reconize that is has a first hard drive. I have gone, changed Jumpers on it, I dismantled and rebuilt the computer. I know the MotherBoard is not fried cuz the BIOS still works fine and it is trying to find the hard drive. Any ideas what I can do for this or is my computer now a paper weight? (I can't buy a new motherboard, unless u know where I can find one for a P2)

How are the drivers jumpered? What position are they on the ribbon cable?

Did you unhook the slave drive to see if it recognizes the main hard drive, to eliminate the cause as the main drive?

Is the slave drive on the same ribbon cable as the other main drive? Is it in the middle and not on the end of the cable?

Drive

My Slave Drive is currently unhooked, just trying to get the first one working, and my master drive is on the end of the ribbon. Me and my friends are really starting to think I got hacked, I do a fair bit of downloading, but either way I would like to get it to work again.
